SNOW RETENSION

Snow and ice sliding off metal and steeply pitched roofs can come down with deadly force, often breaking tree limbs; damaging property; or injuring people and pets. Snow retention systems are very effective at mitigating this problem.

Individual snow stops and snow fence work on much the same premise. They hold snow on the roof until Mother Nature can clear it. Several factors go into the choice between snow stops and snow fence such as: roof type, snow load and phase of construction. Snow retention may also be used to protect heat tape installed on roofs.
